Offering pinless film gates, high speed scanning and sound synced outputs, the state of the art Director and ScanStation are the preferred choice of post production companies as well as film archives worldwide.
Besides scanning negative film, both the director and ScanStation simultaneously scan the images and optical (or magnetic stripe) sound track from any print film.
The Director and ScanStation are engineered to operate in a normal office environment. No special cooling is required and the power consumption is minimal, similar to a standard PC station. The cool LED light source of the Director and ScanStation protects the film assets from heat damage, and the diffuse light automatically eliminates most of the scratches and fingerprints while scanning.
The Lasergraphics scanners are designed to operate modularly and to enable a simple modular approach to maintenance. All components- the film transport, LED light source, soundtrack readers, standard key code readers, cameras, electronics, etc. are easily replaceable modules. This modular design allows for quick and easy upgrade as and when the scanning requirements change.
All Lasergraphics film scanners are supplied with a full 12 month warranty for parts and labour. During this period the customer is eligible for free software updates. After the first twelve month an annual warranty extension can be purchased. Should a problem arise with the scanner, Lasergraphics can diagnose the cause over the internet and quickly deliver the appropriate replacement module.
